Will my account be backed up?

In an effort to ensure data security and continuity, our system performs an automated backup process for all user accounts twice a week. During this process, all data is encrypted in a highly secure manner, utilizing the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit algorithm, which is a widely recognized industry standard for data protection. The main objective of these automated backups is to enable a comprehensive restoration of the server in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or data loss.

However, despite our best efforts, we must clarify according to our terms of service that we cannot provide a guaranteed availability of these backups. There may be instances due to unforeseen circumstances where these backups may not be immediately accessible or available.

Therefore, we strongly recommend our customers to enable the backup feature for your onion service as an added layer of protection. Once this feature is activated, a backup will be automatically taken on a weekly basis. This particular backup will allow users to download your 'www' folder along with your database information, thus providing a safety net for your crucial data. However, please be aware that your V3 Onion Address keys will not be included in this backup.

In addition to this, we also advise our users to create a backup of your V3 Onion Address public and private keys separately. This will ensure that you have a comprehensive and complete copy of your entire onion service, thereby minimizing the risks of data loss and enabling a smooth recovery process if ever needed.

To backup your 'www' folder along with your database information, navigate to your onion service, and click the "Backup" tab, and click "Enable Backup"
